axel? looks faster than wget |
Axel is multithread like flashget, getright and massdownloader. Anyway Axel is another crap to have in linux or cygwin, wget is THE thing.
Heee... this film is cool!... Good to see more freak people
Here in Zaragoza (spain) people join to celebrate "Manga anime and Videogames" forums, ...people do really freak stuff, like impesonating final fantasy characters of play Tic-Tac-Toe with jap style.. . But as not something cool like a profesional photage like this video! Woao.
But as a "documental" i am interested in the engines, personal cfg and technical specs of quake playing.. Was used a dedicated server? all people play with fuhquake+external textures? people play with proxys?...

I also use wget for windows. But I miss the feature to remenber in a db old files stoped, and similar management stuff.. something that FlashGet interface provide. FlashGet capture cockies and other session info to fuck anti-leech scripts and other issues. You can do that with wget, but need more work.. Will be cool if axel evolve to admit new mirrors on the fly. FlashGet admit new mirrors but stop ALL if the first mirror fail... can mail this feature to the axel coder, but I suspect will dislike because will need a interactive method and most linus geeks dislike that. I use windows 2000 with a old cygwin installation.
Do you know a command line avi compiler? I want to make a film with a serie of screenshots and dislike to get Adobe Premiere or other similar crap.

Heee!!.. .thanks!... Hehehehe... Will be cool to publish demos with that. Will try to build that with cygwin...
update:
I have sucesfully build animmaker into cygwin. Generates .avi withouth header... need post-processsing. I have also build mplayer, but witouth most codecs... cant compress films. But.. he.. can fix the header. We can now test some small movies.

FRJ as in Forward Rocket Jump. A script that does impossible things for you. Which indeed is lame
