Hi, I downloaded jerbear's new 44KHz sound pack to give it a go and noticed something a little wierd.
I am setting +set s_khz 44 on the command line but once I am in fuhquake here is what I get:
Code: |
/soundinfo
1 stereo
32768 samples
10154 samplepos
16 samplebits
1 submission_chunk
11025 speed <--- ??? shouldnt this be 44 something?
0x40a5200 dma_buffer
31 total channels
/s_khz
s_khz: default value is "11"
current value is "44"
|
the sounds work okay as far as I can tell. the rocket launcher is a little crackly but that might be part of the sound effect. So I guess the question is which one is telling the truth? soundinfo or s_khz, or is this a limitation of the linux build at the moment, or am I just doing something dumb?

try -sndspeed 44100, maybe that helps linux users, don't know.

I had the same problem, and -sndspeed works. I actually use both methods to set my sound speed, just in case. With the new hi-fi sounds, you can notice a big difference between s_khz 11 and 44. |
