Wierd countdown boot, and can't connect to certain servers

Every time I am finishing a duel or teamplay match, when the countdown hits 1 fuhquake freezes up and I have to reconnect to server...

Also, on certain types of servers, specifically on ffa servers running ZQuake, it won't let me connect anymore since I downloaded the new build...

any suggestions on either of these problems? I am running in gl quake on a nVidia GeForce 2 card

by freeze you mean what? does it crash with an 'illegal operation' ? or you just can't input anything?

maybe you have a bad f_mapend (type alias f_mapend, see what it says).

I think I have the same problem, but it never happens to me after duels.

MOST of the time, after finishing a TDM game (tested with KTPro and CA), my connection goes weird. By this I mean that I can still move around the map, but everyone else is standing still, I get no sounds (including my own jumping), I can't see anyone's messages ("gg" etc), and sometimes the game seems choppy (misses some frames).

When this happens, I type "reconnect" and everything is fine again (though I miss the scoreboard and endgame stats).

Also, I am unable to properly connect to the server qwdm.ii.net. My client says

Code:

Checking sounds...
Checking models...


as if connecting properly, but then hangs indefinitely. No other messages appear in the console, and I don't enter the game, even if I wait for several minutes.

With developer 1 set, some extra stuff gets printed at the end. The last line of this extra stuff is

Code:

stufftext:  cmd spawn 10 0


I think that this problem is reported in another thread:

I have seen at least one other player with at least the endgame freeze problem.

I have the same problem, and its very annoying.. i am starting to believe this is a fuhquake problem rather than mvdsv/ktpro/ca as fuh suggested tome earlier. soo many ppl having this bug, and afaik ca hasnt been updated meanwhile. I think i will run the old version as a i find a server and a time where i get the error, and try and see if the old version works without a hitch, and i can reproduce the error immediately after with the latest version.

im unable to connect to certain servers... IPGN TF and se2 for example. I've tried with GMQ too but it just hangs too.
