i try to connect to a ktpro server (any ktpro server) and i get:
Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........
ip.ip.ip.ip: challenge
ip.ip.ip.ip: connection
Connected.

and then NOTHING

the console just sits there. no map load no checking sounds nothing.

if i try to reconnect i just get repeated
Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........
Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........
Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........
....... and eventually i get Server connection timed out.

its really annoying cause i cannot connect and play to ktpro servers when i wanna play there....

its also really funny because it only happens when i want to play someone... when i connect to spectate as far as i recall.. it works fine...

also.... if i try to connect maybe 30 minutes later... or 10 or 20, well , then it works

so far it only happens with ktpro (or maybe ktpro/mvdsv?) !!!!

but maybe its fuhquake related?

who else has this problem? .... i dunno.... how can i fix it???

hmm well you get

Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........
Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........
Connecting to ip.ip.ip.ip..........

if theres a zombie on the server with your ip.

zombies are created by timeout's and generally when something fucks up connection wise.

all you can do is wait for it to time out. if you have rcon, you can kick the zombie.

sv_timeout on the server sets how long it takes for them to time out. 60 or 120 is default.

Yes but that doesnt solve the problem.

Because the server CREATES this zombie whenever I just try to normally connect!

hmm can we have the ip to test ourselves.

also check your cl_timeout isnt something strange .

cl_timeout is 60

the server im trying now is New Jersey KTPRO‡|213ms|66.246.132.66:27500
east.3d-game.com - Clan Arena|9999ms|66.36.242.62:27500

but it can be any ktpro server...

and i dont know if anyoen else have this problem.. i mean obviously ppl can join ktpro servers

also, in between of "connected" and "server connection timed out" i can see msgs like "[30] seconds"... (like 30 sec before end of the match on that server)
