Awesome, RaRe.
I finished 3 city textures because of hue/sat !! I must say I got the colors done well:)
So basically you only get the hard stuff now LOL

This is not meant as any critism against Rare (keep up the good work!) or anything but I've made some textures, some with bits from Rare's and some from scratch, just to see if I could
These are the ones I've made so far:
adoor01_2, adoor03_2, azwall3_1, azwall3_2, city1_7, door01_2, door03_2, wood1_1 and wwood1_5!

The best app for finding what texture is in what map is texMex.
Great work Rare and moon the textures look wicked...but you know next week up2nogood will be posting saying the colors are all wrong. |

Anyway, some news for you guys...
RaRe and I have been working together a lot and right now I have 24 updated files
The Quake Retexturing Page is getting a facelift from me and will be up in a few days (layout will stay the same, just adding frames and updating some info...)

Updated.. found a couple of more textures to put in the list. Right now the next update is up to 25 new files (gloss/bump etc).
I have a question for anyone who knows though.
If I have a glass/bump png, and I convert it to bmp then back to png, will it still work?
Also, I have 3 of the same texture files, except they are different colors. Only one of them has gloss/bump. Can I rename the gloss/bump to the other two and will it still work?
btw RaRe/Moon remove old links from your threads please !

good news guys,... here's the rundown:
1) The QRP page is updated! http://www.quake.cz/winclan/qe1/
I went through every page and updated it. The FAQ is up-to-date, so is team (I have to add Moon[Drunk] and Def/Regen project and probably Ugefor (spelling) if I use his runes). PLEASE if you find something wrong TELL ME ABOUT IT
2) RaRe does some textures
3) Moon[Drunk] does some textures
4) I update a lot of stuff
5) We're up to 45 new files for the next update!!!!! Urgefor is also helping as of now
Keep the textures coming in -- i updated the front page of this thread

Up2nOgOoD: how fast is your connection? would be useful if u could remove the currently offered download files and start afresh with some new releases
I have 3mb/s UP/DOWN so i can do it for you if it'll take too long for u uploading 80mb+, but it would be better to have all the textures as maximum compression png files split up into colormaps.zip bumpmaps.zip glossmaps.zip lumamaps.zip
This saves fuhquake users from downloading bump/gloss that are useless to them, maximum compressed png will reduce the download size as well |

I have a 56k (you know how much hell that is lol) but I am already planning to do that all for the next release...
Basically, right now I am waiting on Moon[Drunk] to put the finishing touches on his textures and for RaRe to hopefully release another 2-3 textures....
After they do that, I will upload all the textures (and I'll do the split thing you said.. i like that). Also, Urgefor is giong to do all Rune textures and rune-looking textures (about 20+ plus lumas as well) for next next release things are looking good...
But if you can texture, don't let these updates fool you... we still have a long way to go so your help is APPRECIATED !!!

Rune/Rune type textures (20+) will be done by Urgefor
Brick (city2_1 - city 5_2 about 16..) will be done by RaRe
All doors (11) will be done by Moon[Drunk]
All in all each author is working on their individual sets.
Those textures will not be in the next update, which I am planning to release tomorrow night. If RaRe gets his set done (he has 5/16 already in like a couple of hours on saturday night) then I'll post his set.... All in all, about 45 files (lumas/bump/textures/etc) are in the next update....
Also, Paradoks, Jezaza, and I have a big surprise for everyone

I updated the thread a lot.
I updated the list completely. The next update, weighing about 18 mb, is uploading and will probably be up in a couple of days. It is about 70+ files (lumas,bump,etc). Remember, if all you play is fuhquake you don't need ANYHITNG except the luma and the texture itself (the others are for other engines like tenebrae).
The surprise is coming soon, but no ETA....
Btw, can anyone get me a better fowrad address like... quake.textures.com or something to link back to the qrp page.. ?? not a big deal tho
