Hey Connor:) Glad to see you're helping us Smile


Let me start with your first texture sfloor4_2 ... I like it a lot. I'm going to use it, but only if you do 4_1 as well (I'm using textures in a series only by 1 author so they are all uniform). I can't change the hue/sat because 4_1 has a hint of blue/metal running up/down if you look closely.

The rock4_1 you did is the wrong color Sad It has to look more like it's old and moldy... like in a tropical jungle secret hidden humid cave, you know?

The demc4_4 you did shows me you're really talented, because I like that face A LOT. However, again I can't use it unless you decide to do every texture that is like that (all the other demc's, and all the altarb's, and whatever else... they are all named differently). If you are up to the task, read on. Just add some teeth to the bottom jaw to make it faithful, and fix the colors on the face to have a better transition. The background is perfect.

btw, Moon[Drunk] has done all the woods Sad they'll be in the next update:(

Also, if you decide to go on with the demo face texture (demc and such), reply and tell me if you want me to put up a complete list of all textures that look like that. If you'r enot, can you please upload the base you used for the face? Also, upload the background you used because I think it's used in other places and I might need it for other series.. I lvoe it Smile

Hi again guys. Moon[Drunk] just sent me a zip with all quake doors done. Trust me, you will CREAM when you see them:) Vergy GJ goes out to him! He's working on keys and stuff now...

I also updated the front page with what will be in the next update...so far!

Hey Connor:) Tell me which textures you've updated and what you've done because I'm on 56k and it's hell loading all of them and some of them are the same Sad

Anyway, your sfloors are great, i'm using all three (I tweaked them a lil). I already told you about the wood/face/rock in my last post or so.

The new texture I see ( rock3_8 ) is almost perfect. all you have to tweak is to make the rocks more vertical and stay away from some colors that you used like the almost whites. Smile Gj overall.

Btw, just so you guys know, RaRe and I talk on IRC Smile he posts tetxures on the forum if I'm sleeping (He's in Australia, i'm in US)

I sent in these rock textures...I use one with contrast cranked though. Anyway I was just photoshopin it.

hehe this texture is sweet, and I used it everywhere I could when I textured e1...darker and its looking even more real.

This texture (wkey02_3) is only used in E2M5 as far as I know.
But where in the map? Can't find it Sad

(I've already retextured it so I just want to see how it looks ingame Neutral)

Great News guys:) I just got an update from Moon[Drunk]. He did like half of the keys in Quake and I believe he is working on the other half Smile They look soo good!

Urgefor is working on Runes, they are coming out nicely.
Moon[Drunk] is working on woods.
RaRe and I talk almost nightly and get a a couple of textures in. He's my freelance man Smile


I have 43 files right now. I'm going to upload the update (43 files) and ALL files I have (363 files). The "All" zip is very updated since I took out uneeded and old files like sky (cuz we have skyboxes), gloos/bump/etc, and ugly-ass-looking textures. For people who haven't downloaded any textures, "All is for you". Front page will be updated soon.

Also, Elchtest updated the QRP site. He's in for another update, heh Smile I'll update the zip tonight (I am GMT-8 hours) about 4-5 hours from now, and i'm on 56k :F. Doh!

If you've never downloaded any of the files, or want all the files in one big zip (which is updated.. took out textures that aren't used and textures that are HUGLY [hugely ugly Razz]), then get this:

some ppl still play tenebrae and might want the bumps

it would be better, if u're gonna strip the bumps out completely, to go through each texture that has a bumpmap and apply them on top of the normalmap and release the combined image as currently lots of the images look flat as they were intended to be used with bumpmapping

Hi guys, I like to keep everyone posted on news so here you go...

Moon[Drunk] sent me new textures (the 9 you see in the front page.. i just updated front page). He is also working on the 4 skills (omg yay!) but I had a suggestion for the ones he did, so he's going to redo them.

RaRe and I haven't talked in a bit since I haven't been online because real life _SUCKS_ so much right now.

Oldman: Yes, Elchtest told me he wants me to include all the bump/norm/etc files too. But I mean.. they are so old! more than half of those files (and bump/gloss/etc were VERY FEW) don't match the new and redone textures. I'm going to upload all the 'other' files I have tonight for whoever wants to use it.

Is making gloss/bump/norm/whatever files easy or even possible after the texture is made? Is anyone up for the task?

im taking this time to congratulate you guys on an awsome job on these textures!! i mean holy crap you guys are good!! they look fucking good!. i went through the whole game the other day and damm it seems quake its almost 100% in the textures, I could only find very few stuff not textured (the things that hold the flames in map start and the end map comes to mind)

do you guys have any idea how many textures are missing?

keep up the good work guys!! and lets put an end to this texture project once and for all. we're so close to being finished. Smile
