International Bot Challenge 2004
IBC is a new world-wide bot competition brought to you by def and slime. This event is intended for everyone, and I encourage literally everyone from every corner of the world to participate. The challenge itself is to do as much damage as possible to the bot within a 3 minute round of povdmm4 using the LG only, while maintaining the highest possible LG percentage. A ranking list of every player's submission will be automatically maintained on the site with additional detailed stats of the performance.
The nature of this competition allows for everyone to compete, since you can play on your localhost with 13ms ping regardless of your internet connection, in the comfort of your home, and try to best your results as many times as you please. You may submit your initial result to the site and return at any time to update your performance instantly as you improve. Additionally, we are hoping this event will be a vessel for everyone in the world to
demonstrate their LG proficiency, regardless of your skill level, from beginner to top brass.
Please read the rules section of the IBC website carefully for setup instructions, details on how players will be ranked, grounds for disqualification, and many frequently asked questions. You may also visit the new IBC forum to discuss any competition related topics. Lastly I would like to to thank the Quakeworld.nu crew for providing us with solid web hosting, and Yogic for his anonymous contributions! |
