Under certain conditions (lighting is one of them), some skins will turn from normal to white in GL. I am using the AmigaSport 3.0 drivers for my Voodoo3 in WinXP (Finally got it working, had to RTFAQ!).

Is there something I'm missing?

(BTW... I have to use idgamma to brighten up the view because standard gamma controls won't work, gamma's locked and I can't unlock it)

Problem fixed: gl_fb_*models was set to 1. I forgot that software settings had overridden the GL settings.

thanks this helped me .. now i can actually delete my opengl32.dll and use voodoo3 gl driver (im win 2k) instead of having it say voodoo2 ... also my gl_detail works right now / with the voodoo3 glide

scratch that GL_DETAIL Still does not work but it looks slightly different... i can see the tiny detail images better now but they stil tiny...

gues i will use 0.30 hehe

gl_detail is deemed bugged @ https://fuhquake.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6 .

Surpised a voodoo3 can handle the fps with it on anyway.

i know its bugged but why does it work on some peoples systems?

also it doesnt cut fps that much

because the world is rendered differently depending on what extensions your video card support (see gl_strings).

ok one last annoying thing for me to say about this particular issue... either when is next client or will u release a 0.31 client with this fixed?

I can assure you it will be fixed in all future versions. But I am not making any comment as to when this will occur.

If you cannot wait then you should either use v0.30 or compile your own v0.31 based on v0.31 sources (because I already applied the fix to the 0.31 source a long time ago).

If you're using linux I can do this for you, as for windows you can just download massa's keymap binary (see sticky), I'm sure its based on source containing the fix.
