By using QWDTOOLS.
I've made a zip file including all you need to convert qwz <> qwd > mvd together with an example qwz demo so you can test it right away.
It also includes a batfile (graciously made by fuh) to mass convert qwd demos to qwz in your demo dir (+sub dirs) since fuhquake don't have a build in auto compress feature (likie mqwcl!!). Although it is recommended you are familiar with dos scripting to fool around with it

or you can even do it on the commandline in windows:
just go to start/run/type in 'command' or cmd for short
then type into it as follows:>
C:\quake\Qwdtools –qd c:\quake\qizmo291\ -od c:\demos\mvd\ -fs c:\demos\qwz\sodfinaldm4.qwz
note i tell windows to: 1. execute qwdtools by writing where it is 2. i give windows my qizmo directory -qd 3. i tell windows where to output the converted file with the directory written -od 4. i tell qwdtools to remove spec talk -fs and where the demo is i want converted.
hope this gives you another way to use qwdtools with even more knowledge of what it does and why. The linux/unix user does it the same way but just uses different directory structures. Plus unix has bash which owns any dos shell imo...but that's another story:)
good cheer, xhrl
