THIS HAPPENS ON MY LAPTOP AND MY BIG SCREEN HDTV. CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROB IS, MY HDTV WILL ONLY BROADCAST IN 480 X 640, BUT NOT THE LAPTOP, IT DOESN'T EXPLAIN IT.
THIS IS MY CMD LINE
C:\QUAKE\fuhquake-gl.exe -game add -width 640 -heigth 480 -bpp 32 -heapsize 256000
I WILL TRY AND UPLOAD A SCREEN SHOT, OR EMAIL ME.
OH PS, ONLINE QUAKE WORKS, ONLY WHEN I START LIKE A SP GAME OR ADD ON BSP OR PAKOPAK. WHEN I FIRST START UP QUAKE ITS FINE SO IT CANT BE RESOLUTION.
DESPERATLY SEEKING AN ANSWER AND RESOLUTION |

I'm sorry, I don't have a solution to your problem, but; your heapsize is waay too much. Quake only needs like 64000 (just use -mem 64). Also, don't use capslock so much. You get a better response from people when you're not yelling everything

I use that much ram when i run a server.
But this should not be indeginous to just me, more and more people should be running into this poblem, those that have laptops and more and more people buying hdtv's.
It has to be a compatability issue. Also, the character cant move, although can look around.
There has to be a solution to this, and it cant be a monitor issue cuz it runs fine when I play reg quake or online. Thanks |
