Firstly before I ask my question, I will say upfront that I am fully aware of what the msg cvar does. That being said, I am looking for a way to filter messages, almost like a "msg 1.5". I want all chat to appear, and as for ammo and weapon pickups, I don't want them. And as for frags, which is the part that differs, I want ONLY frags directly relating to me to appear, ie. player x rides ssaknup's rocket or ssaknup was gibbed by player x. I also would want suicides to appear. In a high player game in e1m7, the lines can get quite cluttered, and I sometimes want to know who I fragged. It can be quite difficult to find.
