I use Windows Xp, Intelli Optical Mouse(Ps2), Latest Fuhquake
------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright heres simple questions...
I use m_smooth in cmd line.
m_rate = 125
Now I just chose 125 cause most people use that, which I assume cause they use usb mouse. I use a ps2 intelli optical and in the advance properties i chose 200hz.
The problem is, m_showrate 1 reports the average highest number was around 112,113. and yes i moved my mouse all over, slow, fast etc. 113 was highest it got i believe. Since my mouse was set to 200hz in mouse properties, shouldnt m_showrate be reporting 200 as highest?
anyway m_smooth with m_rate 125 seems to work good. I was just wondering if technically it's causing any problems? Should I stick with m_rate 125 or up it to m_rate 200? i'm just lost. help
oh ya my cl_maxfps is 125, most servers thoe it only goes from 72, 90, or 100 |

alright, well it seems like m_rate does tell the truth. Fact is my mouse is probably only running around 100-110 hz, even thoe I set 200hz in properties.
now I just got one simple question, just want your opinion:
do you think its best having m_rate 125 , knowing my rate is really 100-110? Please, does it matter that its not exact? I dont think 15 higher than my actual rate would cause much problems do you?
Sorry, i just like to be certain that i configure everything correctly.
I just refuse to use anything less or more than 125. lol.. |
