is it possible to use this grappling hook with fuhquake?

it would be SO sweet if it was, cos fuhquake is so much better than any other. :]
fuh, could you just add it as like a cheat protected thing or something?
id SO much want to mess around with it. :]

here are 3 clips of me messing around with it in joequake. (works crappy compared to fuh. :/)

in these two, i use the pull, which gives great speed.

in these two, i dont use the pull to balance the hook a bit.
and its more fun too in my opinion.

heheheh, that hook is sweet Very Happy
the "rubberband" effect looks really cool


but i dont understand what you mean with "use this hook with fuhquake"
as a grappling hook (as any other weapons etc.) is a mod thing.
unless you need some special engine settings for the physics or something.


ps.
my favorite hook was the one from the Painkeep mod, shame Painkeep
never had ctf mode :\

i mean... if i try to start the hook mod with fuhquake, it wont work. :[
like: fuhquake-gl.exe -game hook <- that wont work... dunno why. :/
"incompatible client version."
"security module not initialized."

so i thought it would be sweet if fuh could just put it IN fuhquake. ;]

haha, dude i know! :D
i've had this image in my head about a hook like this for months now.
and then i asked about it in www.moddb.com forums.
and this dude pointed me to the mod. and i was like: HOLY SHIT THIS IS IT! :D

tho this hook is a bit overpowered with the pull. i think it should be a LOT slower,
or not have it at all. my mod that im making wont have it at all.
imo its a lot more fun that way too. takes a bit of effort to get speed/height.

joequake is netquake, and fuh is quakeworld

and the hook mod seems to be netquake, so it wont run on fuh, unless you
convert it to QW format

i dont know how to exactly port mods from NQ to QW. but for one
you need the sourcecode of the hook mod, then you need someone
who can code Smile
